Would you like the opportunity to sell your art, sell baked goods, or promote your organization while supporting a great local cause? Then join us and be a part of Ottawa ACORN’s Art in the Park fundraiser!
This event will take place on Saturday, August 12th from 11am to 3pm. It will be in the heart of the city at McNabb Park (180 Percy St. at Gladstone Ave.).
Ottawa ACORN is a local non-profit that fights for social and economic justice. We serve and empower low and moderate income people across the cities of Ottawa and Gatineau. We have over 28,000 members who are committed to fighting for change. These members include students, newcomers, people living with disabilities, single parents, seniors, and low-income workers. We pride ourselves on being a grassroots organization that is totally member-driven.
Since 2007, we have been establishing ourselves in this city and have become a recognized player on the social justice scene. We have a vast network of community allies and contacts that are devoted to keeping their support local . We are also experienced in turning out the media and have various contacts in local television networks and newspapers.
Art in the Park will be a showcase of local artists that will attract a mix of individuals: ACORN members and donors, individuals from other local non-profits and organizations, media representatives, and other Ottawa citizens who are interested in local art, in social justice or who are just looking for a good time!
